So sad for this little family...
They were just sitting at home watching their beloved Habs when their home was sucked into a kilometre wide sinkhole. How do you explain such freak and utterly unbelievable events like this to children?Posted by Knitty, Vintage and Rosy at 9:56 a.m. 5 comments

Because you mean so much to me...Links with Love
Pip Studio
Similar to Rice with a touch of Cath
Do we like it?
Of course, Rice
Lovely coolers
Adorable bowls

And Tamar. I have been meaning to show you her website for 3 or 4 months now. I received a lovely ring from her during the winter and it is so terribly beautiful. When my manicure is done I will show it off but in the mean time, please visit her, all her items are so charming. She is also a lovely person that treats her customers with the utmost care and kindness.

Puttering
My summer blankets are coming out of hibernation. The big chunky eiderdowns and duvets are going to be put away after they are aired and their covers washed. I have quite a collection of the chenille/candlewick covers now I am thinking I may sell one or two. Greens and pinks are my favourite. The top one is a lovely pink but it looks white in the photo. I am also going to sell off some of my Cath Kidston/Ikea Rosali items this summer. Once I know how much I will need to send off with my daughter to university I will be doing a nice clear out. Waaaay too many linens in this house!
A touch of gardening but not nearly enough done.
Pansy love.

Where do you shop?
I have been shopping my little heart out with DN2. Her prom is at the end of May and her schedule just opened up about a week and a half ago. Hockey Season is now over, she played her last game in Canada two weeks ago :( She needs a prom dress and it isn't easy!
She favours the halter type dress and it is what suits her the best. She has a very large bust (38C,D) and I love that she wants full length. It makes the shoe thing not as big of a deal.Posted by Knitty, Vintage and Rosy at 9:44 a.m. 5 comments

So you would like to know?

Since there were so many questions asked in the last couple of posts I thought it would be best to answer them. Oh and did you notice I have 200 followers? How crazy is that? But thank you!
I love the crochet cushion in an earlier post, would love to know how you put the final product together because I too am in the middle of a granny square which was meant for a blanket but boredom is taking over with it!!! Xx
After I crocheted the granny to the size of my cushion form I cut up a felted cashmere sweater and used that for the other side. I used the ribbed bottom of the sweater for the folds, eliminating the need for a zipper or button closure. I hand sewed the crochet front to the cashmere back.
Elizabeth asked:
Love the boots but those metal garden tool holders for twine and seeds, etc? Those are for me. Where did you find them?
The metal tool holders are from Garden Trading.
Madelief asked:
Yes, those two ladies do look alike :-)! Love the boots!! I am going to England in three months time. Hopefully I can find them. Would like to wear them in my garden. The match the new colour of my garden house perfectly ;-)!
Madelief, the wellies are from Joules but not sure if they are in stock right now.
Krawuggl asked:
The candy coloured trugs are beautibeautiful. Do you know where to buy them?
The pastel trugs can be found at Burgon and Ball.
And lastly, the garden tools can be found at Gift Ideas.
~~~Have a lovely week girls~~~
Leaving
Oh yes my little chicks it is time for Miss Knitty, Vintage and Rosy to leave on a little sojourn. I will be traveling in such a style as to create much animosity and jealousy within blogdom.
Okay, it isn't going to be in a lovely snail trail caravan. Or a lovely old beauty like this. I will be on a coach with 15 high school girls going to Provincials (hockey) in our nation's capital. (That would be Ottawa as I am sure all of you know). But it will be special. This will be the last hockey tournament I will be on with my daughter as this is her last one before she leaves for University...***********************************************************
Omg I will be such a mess come August :(
Granny Rectangle (as opposed to a Granny Square)
See pretty granniness? If you want to granny a rectangle here is what helped me. If you would like specifics on how to tighten near the end to get that secure tucked in edge, email me and I will tell you how.Posted by Knitty, Vintage and Rosy at 10:19 a.m. 21 comments
