"Of all the great things that the English have invented and made part of the credit of the national character, the most perfect, the most characteristic, the only one they have mastered completely in all its details so that it becomes a compendious illustration of their social genius and their manners, is the well-appointed, well-administered, well-filled country house."

I love my bedroom too! It's a real 'escape'!
Yours sounds a very peaceful and soothing place to be. ;-)
I know what you mean, I love so many looks that it's hard to know which one to go for. When I decorated my bedroom 5 years ago I went for the boudoir, expensive hotel look. I loved it, in pale ivory and blush. I had lots of scrummy pillows to dive into and it was heaven, and luxurious. The only heavenly escape from three young sons. The problem was my husband. He complained about all the pillows all the time and it drove me mad! I can't decide what look to go for next! xxx
Those rooms are lovely!x
These are all lovely rooms. I'm trying to make our bedroom into a lovely peaceful haven and I'm getting there - just have to train my fiancee to stop leaving his dirty socks on the floor!
The duty of a husband is to agree wholeheartedly with you at all times on matters of interior decoration - and take the bins out. Mine still struggles with which way the cushions go and which quilt goes where - the training has to be ongoing really, but as long as he washes the car and does the dirty jobs I am prepared to tolerate certain areas of incompetence! Maybe the answer is to buy a guesthouse then you can have each bedroom in a different style and sleep in whichever one is empty!

Ooh what a decision.....I'm in that exactly the same position myself....loads of ideas, colours, styles, fabrics etc, etc, BUT just like you I too have a hubby who has no idea on style to start. He's a straight laced cockney who can't be doing with frills, flowers, pretties and pillows/ cushions!!!! He does put up with them all bless him but it is hard work .....I don't think he'll ever get it really!
Will look forward to seeing your piccies of your end result...

Am just in the process of giving my bedroom a makeover.I started with the a new duvet cover and took the colour scheme...pinks,blues,green...from that.New curtains next.Do pop in and have a look...may give you some ideas...although any of those ones in the mags would be lovely!

It's not just me then! I have been having the same problem. I keep changing my mind about which scheme to go for in our bedroom. Luckily it will be one of the last rooms to be decorated so I still have time to decide. Roses will have to feature somewhere I think...
Good luck with your selection!

Your style is right up my ally! Love your blog! ;) Come by and visit me sometime.
I'm like you and like so many styles too. I love all white but then I love colour as well. Light blues and greens and reds are my favs at the momnet though. We currently have a pink room, courtesy of the previous owner which I guess I could do all shabby chic but then there's the hubby to think of.
Eventually our room is going to be pale green with white funiture and trims and blues and greens in the soft furnishings. Something we'll both like.
A husband being described as a perpetual problem design wise - made me laugh out loud.
Can't you just have a bit of everything in each room of the house and then you feel happy.

I find myself going through my magazines and my eyes fall upon a certain couple of rooms each time. It's telling me what my style is ever so subtly. :)
Those pictures are all lovely, but I have to say honestly; I think your bedroom is the best :O)
Ahhhh the bedroom --- my very favorite place in the world! Thanks for sharing all the lovely photos -- great ideas. And you know, I think the lily of the valley wallpaper is the very same as the one I have in our master bath -- only in the pale yellow background. We put it there over 10 years ago, and I still love it.
Merry Christmas Tina!
