Never underestimate the power of the comment

Ladies, I cannot thank you enough for your lovely, comforting comments. They have meant so much to me in my gloom.
Now for some answers. So many of you have commented about the lamp. This is an Ikea lamp. It has been pimped. I cannot remember the name of it but I am sure both the base and shade are still available there as it has been around quite a while. I painted the base in Farrow and Ball Parma Gray. I saw this over at Vanessa's quite a while back and she helped me out with it, being the sweet lovely person that Vanessa is. Do you ever visit Vanessa? Well go so hi. I'll wait.

Oh, you're back? Good. Just another quick observation. Do you ever go to make the bed in the morning (or late afternoon, no one is here to judge) and see the sun streaking in and wish you could just hop back in? That is how I felt this morning and thought of all of you and snapped this photo.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's it, really. And just to say "Thank you" once again.
Some days are just like that. It makes it so much harder not to climb back in under the covers when one's bed is so inviting. Sometimes it's just appropriate to nap!
Thanks so much for the comment and sorry for the delay. For some reason it got sent to my spam box.. Nice to meet you and so sorry to hear about your teeth. Your room looks so cozy! Nice to hear your daughter will be heading to Pittsburgh. Hope she enjoys her time at Robert Morris!
I'm with you again. I paint a lot of things Parma Gray (the tin never seems to run out) and as for getting back into bed - the height of delightful decadence, especially when the sheets look as good as yours.
I can see why you would consider jumping back into that bed, it does look so comfy! I have just read about your wisdom tooth...That is so painful. Unbeleivably to me now, I had all 4 pulled at once at the hospital. It was agony afterwards and I counted the minutes until I could take next pain killers. It took 6 months for me to be able to fully open my mouth again as i could before the "extractions". I was convinced they broke my jaw! I looked like a hamster with nuts stuffed in my cheeks for a week. Glad you are feeling better!
I love your cozy spot there, I'd have climbed back in too if it wasn't for the little monkeys who would follow me there. I love your lamp shade too. It's I decorated my two little monkey's room in that pattern when they were younger and shared a room - I still love it and little G now has the rug in her room. I didn't get them that sweet shade though.
