Knitting, Crocheting, Pretty Little Vintage Things
"Of all the great things that the English have invented and made part of the credit of the national character, the most perfect, the most characteristic, the only one they have mastered completely in all its details so that it becomes a compendious illustration of their social genius and their manners, is the well-appointed, well-administered, well-filled country house."

Great, I just reserved it from the library, thanks.
It opens here tomorrow, also. I have been eagerly awaiting the movie! I agree, what a fantastic book!
I rather fancy the film! :-)
Hi Rachel,
I will check it out!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday!
Lieve groet, Madelief x
Hello, I stumbled across your blog a couple of days ago and have had great fun reading through it. Thanks!
I agree about the book, very good indeed. I read it last year and thought it was a great read.
I've just bloghopped to here and saw your post about The Help ...
A wonderful book - not sure if you know that in the UK the cover is quite different and more pertinent!

I read this book at easter, I had no idea there was a film! Checking it out now.... thanks xx
I also read it in two days and my daughter in law read it in one. I too passed it on to my Mom and a month later my Mom and I saw the movie. It was totally worth it to see how she related to the fashion of her young adult life and to watch tears spring from the corner of her eyes. Brenda in Canada
