Me and Martha

Martha and I have been at it again. Thanks to Vee for the link. What a wonderful way to utilize your vintage linens. I am always so happy to find different and innovative ways to showcase my quickly expanding collection. I love the way it came out and it only took me about 2 hours which isn't bad for a novice I guess. It will be a wonderful bag for books or produce I would think. And, well, this picture is kind of self explanatory. We now have a pug. He's not brand new. He's used and well worn. We actually babysat him several months back for a girl my daughter works with. She had just had a new baby (do you have "old" babies?) and did not feel she could dedicate the time to him so we looked after him for about 2 months. Of course we fell in love but we had to give him back. However, last week she called my daughter and told her he was just too much with a teething baby, no sleep, etc. (I soooo remember those days!) How lucky are we? He's back and very well loved. Everybody can't get enough of him. He is a delight.

Did I mention the hair? Everywhere.

But he's worth it.

Being covered in animal hair gets to be a way of life. Ask me how I know.
When are you free for tea?

Great work on the bag! The dog is super gorgeous. His story reminds me of Lady and the Tramp where Tramp tells the other dogs that when a baby arrives, the dog gets kicked out! How sad..but its super that he has you. We have tons of hair everywhere from our dog too but he too is well worth it.

The bag is beautiful, I adore the fabric.

And wow, how cute is your dog?

That looks great! I really do think it works best to use a traditional vintage pillowcase.

The pug is so cute. Always love a pug picture.

Do you mind if I add your blog to my blogroll? I'm not adding blogs without asking for permission these days. My new sense of protocol. ;>

Good for you to rescue that beautiful creature from people who don't deserve to share their lives with a dog. I am expecting twins and I can't tell you how many idiots have asked me what I plan to do "if there are problems with the dog". I cheerfully tell them that we are fully prepared to find a new home for the babies if they don't treat the dog as the treasured family member he is.

I love your bag! But, I have to tell you that your new/old baby is just the best! I am so glad he has such a wonderful home with you! Oh, that face, I am just in love!

He's lovely - but how sad that people get rid of their dogs when a baby comes along. We had three dogs when our first child was born - an English bulldog & two mutts & I would never have contemplated giving them away - they were all fantastic with the babies & both of my children are great animal lovers.

So sorry that you've been under the weather! Hope that you're out from under there now. Thank you for giving me permission to add your blog. It used to be so much easier when I just did what I wanted without any thought about it. LOL!
