"Of all the great things that the English have invented and made part of the credit of the national character, the most perfect, the most characteristic, the only one they have mastered completely in all its details so that it becomes a compendious illustration of their social genius and their manners, is the well-appointed, well-administered, well-filled country house."

I love your photos! The ripple looks divine, and what an awesome mom you have! It's unbearably hot here today today, it's making me feel like a very non productive lump. It's rather scary when I think about what I'm capable of doing for central air and an Iced coffee. Good thing it's too hot for me to venture anywhere.
Someone has a very good eye for a bargain. That vase is charming and unique.
The afghan is wonderful...love the colors and it looks so soft and cozy.
Beautiful photos. I love teh ripple blanket. I picked up wool today to have a proper attempt at my own
You've shown us some lovely things in your photos...what a gorgeous spot to sit when it's not too hot...generally not a problem in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Evening Lisa, thanks for stopping by today and your sweet comment. I've missed blogland this past week, traveling to Montana didn't allow much time.
Love your new header by the way, so fresh and Spring like. Sorry your temps have been too hot, I'll send some of this cold Montana weather your way. :)
Wow, your blanket is gorgeous, love the colors. I haven't been knitting lately, busy with our move, I'm missing it though, I will pick it up again soon, I'm sure.
Blessings--
