The Nicest Compliment

picture of the "Burrow"
A friend of DN2 came over on Saturday night. As she walked through the house she told my daughter "I just love your kitchen. It is right out of Harry Potter". I'm thinking that is a compliment, right?

Just to let you ladies know, the picture above is not my kitchen. It is from Harry Potter. I do wish, however, that it was my kitchen. I'm thinking if it was indeed that dark, the Pug hair would surely not show quite so much.

I think it's definitely because it looks magical.

that's a compliment! how sweet! I always think compliments from youngsters meanso much more as they haven't quite got to the stage of making polite comments just to have something to say. The nicest thing ever said about my kitschen came from an 11 year old - "your kitchen always smells so nice" - how sweet is that! (poor child has a mother who never bakes!)

yep, thats a nice kitchen. I would like to see a pic of your kitchen too. Anything that hides dog hair sounds great to me! We hoover 3 times a day. Thank goodness for the Dyson. Bye the way, I love Nessum Dorma ( sp?), it was great to hear it come on while I stopped by.

Yes, we've always loved the kitchen at The Burrow. It's so typically English with mismatched chairs, unfitted furniture, leaded windows, stone floor, and lots of clutter.
And another thing that makes a kitchen great fun is lots of kids and their friends saying nice things like that. Go on, show us your kitchen now.
