Finally, Kitchen Pictures

Before: Ugliness, Blech

After: Clean

Organized

Shiny

This is the "drop everything here" area. Don't judge ;)

Sigh

Happy to do dishes

I am a pack rat and I know it. A major purging has taken place over the last two weeks. There will be some very happy shoppers in the charity shops over the next little while. I cannot believe the stuff we/I keep. All the cupboards have been painted, cleaned and re-papered. I put new knobs on all the drawers and doors and we had the backsplash put up.

It looks so fresh and clean now. I was so sick of that washed look that has been there for 15 years. It was so popular in the 90's. I am pleased.

Wow it looks terrific. Great job.
I have a 'drop everything here' area too, only mine seems to take up the whole of the kitchen.

It looks fantastic! Funny how getting rid of things, brightens us and makes us even happier than gathering it all. I need to do some more purging myself. I love how fresh and bright it all looks with some new hardware, the new backsplash, and the paint. You all did a great job and now I'm inspired!

Great kitchen make-over...You must have some patients to put Mac-Tac
in your cutlery storage! Also just thought I'd let you know, I liked the corner shelves better the other way!

Thanks, Thrifty. Junk is a neverending problem over here, too.

Vee, thanks for the compliment, glad I am inspiring you. I am sure hubby will do a fine job for you.

Anonymous, glad you liked my make-over. Naw, didn't take much patience at all, easypeasy. A five year old could do it! BTW, I wasn't too keen on the other corner shelf arrangement, this is sooo much better ;)

Haha, I know this you, Clara.

I changed it because we kept using the teapot and mugs and screwing up your lovely design.

Nice bead-board, girl.
I'm painting some of my cupboards. too - electric blue!
Btw, kitchens should not be magasine immaculate - it's for cooking after all, a little mess comes with the territory.

My WV is "pasedish" Or pass the dish?

Your kitchen looks great...very clean and fresh.
I'm considering painting our kitchen cupboards...they're a mid oak colour but I think they'll look better painted cream. Hope it'll make the room seem lighter too.

Gorgeous kitchen -- so inviting and homey! Makes me want to get to work on mine.
We just got home from Toronto last night and I just wanted to thank you for recommending some of your favorite places to go. Unfortunately, I only had time to go to one of the shops -- 'Romni Wool '. My stars -- I've never seen anything like it -- amazing! I got some lovely silvery gray baby llama yarn for making a Debbie Bliss hat pattern, and a gorgeous rich warm heathery brown for a sweater. Had a husband waiting for me in the Czech bar down the street so didn't want to stay too long (drunk husband?;-), but could have rummaged around in there for days. Thanks again!

You have a truly lovely kitchen and I just can't imagine how gorgeous it may have been during this week and all the Thanksgiving cooking! Lovely!
