Home

I know, I know, I could be a bit more inventive than the jug of flowers. But I did some cleanup yesterday for a little get together for the two oldest birthdays (bad mum, 3 weeks and 6 weeks late) and I just thought they looked pretty. And quite frankly, the tidiest area in the whole house.
Things have been so busy and chaotic around here. Loads and loads of laundry (3 or 4 full loads per day), appointments, shopping well you all know the routine, right?

We are still doing tours of schools. The above picture are the dorms at Renssaeler (I will get the correct spelling of this one day). What a lovely campus. Just not sure about the surrounding area. Our first introduction to the city was a transvestite in a purple dress, running shoes and soccer socks at the gas station. Hmmm...

This is Quinnipiac. I did not go with her to this one. She went on an official visit there on the weekend. She is in loooooooove with this one.

And Clarkson. Beautiful, scenic campus. Gorgeous rink (yes, rinks can be gorgeous to hockey players). And did I mention it is only 5 hours from Mummy?

Guess which one I am loving so far ;)

They all look lovely. Makes me realise how near everything is in the UK when you describe somewhere 5 hours away as being good. I could get all the way up to Scotland in 5 hours and I think of Scotland as a long way away! I only went to Uni 1 hour from my mummy and that felt too far!

Hello!

Beautiful flowers, and the room behind looks so fresh and pretty!

I hope she picks the one nearer to you!
I missed my Mum when I first moved out at 18yrs old...to be a Nanny....
I was so glad to come home at weekend!xx

Very pretty flowers, I always like to see flower arrangements in pitchers. All the schools look nice, hope she picks the one close to home.

I agree with Fiona's comment about distance - my university was 2 hours away, and it felt like going 'up north' to another country! Luckily my oldest is going within lunching distance (under 2 hours), not that he will want to meet us for lunch, but it's the thought that counts!

I live about 20 minutes from Quinnipiac and I've toured the campus several times - and it is absolutely beautiful, especially in the fall. The dorms are a nice size and the surrounding area is lovely.

P.S.- Love your aqua sofa!!!

Wow, I wish our universities over here looked as nice and classical as those. The majority (where I am anyway) are fairly modern.

I'm having a giveaway so pop over if you like.

What lovely and pretty flowers, I have a seven year old and already am feeling her free spirit and longing to fly and see the world, Well she is going nowhwere, well I may allow her to nip to the corner shop when she is 27 ;)

What a wonderful opportunity for your daughter.

The cushion is one I made for a shop who want to sell a couple of my pretties, though I could make you a little pretty with the fabric if you like it, maybe we could a little swap :)
