When I'm Not Gardening...
I am reading in the garden. A House in the Country by Jocelyn Playfair. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this book.
Kitchen Essays by Agnes Jekyll. Sister-in-law to the other famous Jekyll. I haven't really read this one yet but am so looking forward to it.
And lastly, Every Eye by Isobel English.
I am unable to get many of the Persephone Books here. They do not seem to be widely distributed in Canada. So I have to go to the website, get the titles and authors and look in the stores or in the library for them published by other houses.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. The weather has broken here but the humidity is coming back tomorrow. Nasty.
Thanks for dropping by.

Yes, must bake today before the muggy heat tomorrow.
Glad you found the books. I was wondering about them myself.
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'll definitely add that one to my list. Isn't it funny how we bloggers can write about the same things on the same day. I even came up with the same post title as someone else the other day.
Not sure if I've dropped by your blog before but from the quick scan down the page I've just done it looks lovely so I'm off for a better browse now. Fiona
Since we share some common interest in our favorite books, I'm very curious about your reviews today. I love the new header!
how funny that I just started this Playfair book on Wednesday and now on Friday 13 June I'm almost finished. But what I like even more is finding your blog. I live in London And I knit And I'm a recent convert to Persephone books.
Sorry you cannot get many of them in Canada - I've just made my first foray to their bookshop in Lamb's Conduit in London. Its truly amazing.
I hope you get to visit it some day.
