I Love Green

I love green. Green paint, green doors, green velvet. I love green depression glass, green Carltonware and green jadeite.

I have a collection of green transferware.

Lately, I have been thinking about painting. Everything, other than the laundry room needs a good re-do and sprucing up.

My bedroom is a lovely shade of green right now. Very tranquil and serene. And is a colour that seems to go well with so many other colours.

So I am not quite sure where to go from here. I love turquoise too. These are wonderful colours for a bedroom as they evoke such calmness and serenity.

So I am not quite sure whether to stick with another shade of green, the same shade or go with something closer to the blues.

Sometimes too much choice is more of a problem than not enough choice. Do you have these dilemmas with paint colours as well? I am always so undecided til it is actually up on the walls. Although, I must say I have never re-painted a room because I hated the colour so much. That would be dreadful.

Still pondering...

Love the greens - have parceled yours up today and taking to PO tomorrow. Waited until I could put something in that I wanted to show you - not sure if you can get them there.

I love your blog!! such pretty pictures :)

Do you know when they say don't go shopping when you're hungry? I learned this the hard way - we came across a paint called Lemon Meringue Pie and I thought it sounded lovely and I wanted something summery in my bathroom. By the time I finished it looked radioactive - so top tip don't by paint that sounds tasty. The bathroom is now white white white. Back to a blank canvas I'm trying to decide on a new scheme and it's looking like it's going to be cream & green.
Ok I'll stop wittering now :)

Yes, all the time. Green is my second favorite color and John's first so I think you have excellent taste. What lovely rooms you've showcased here today...

Love the pictures - very pretty rooms. I like greens too, I think its because green goes with so many other colours as in the garden, such versatility.
Enjoy your weekend.

Yes, green is lovely and serene, isn't it, well maybe not pea soup green or day glow lime?
I always thought that God made so many things green because it goes with everything -- bright tulip petals, soft antique roses -- everything.

Beautiful! I'm just getting into green, but it's so restful. Lovely to see another Cath addict, it's the one and only thing I worry about if we ever move to Canada ;)

I love green too. I could happily have every room painted a different shade of green.

I love green too, and have a collection of depression-era green pressed glass. It always takes me forever to choose paint colours - by the time I have decided I have typically almost covered the walls with the sample colours!

Mary Poppins:

These photos are not my home (gosh I wishhhhh) but from various magazines and googles. I did not state the source as, quite frankly, most of them are on my computer and I have totally forgotten where they came from. My bedroom (the link) with the peonies, is the only one of my home :(

And still totally undecided as to colours.

Love all this images. Although I'm a bit of a blue girl, I am starting to love green more and more. Especially soft sagey green. Dreaming of doing lots of decorating here too.
