Almost Done

Hello, you. I am still busy cleaning, putting away, sorting and well, you know how it is after a big paint job.

I am really pleased with the colours. The trim is parma gray and the walls are pointing, both Farrow and Ball colours.

Unforntunately, there have been some fatalities. Two of my most beloved pink transferware cups were broken. Don't ask, but basically trying to do too much at one time. Very upset about that. Especially since I have so much of the set. So disappointed in myself.

But onward and upward. Did anyone watch Grey Gardens? It was simply fabulous. Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange were both phenomenal. I would not be suprised if one or the other were nominated for awards. And the set design was stunningly beautiful. Of course, the costumes were to die for...

Your paint job looks wonderful!

I'm sorry about the loss of the teacups. Hope that you can find a way to use them still in some way and to replace them reasonably. Life's too short to be annoyed with yourself. Stuff happens.

Couldn't watch that program, but I will look for it if it comes out on DVD. Glad that it was a pleasure.

Oh, I love it to death! Such a lovely colour combination, and such a great backdrop for your beautiful floral fabrics. I'm sure you already know this, but ebay is great for picking up odd pieces of china.

I'm looking for colours for my new bathroom to be. I had looked at parma grey - it looks stunning on your woodwork. I think it might just do!

The parma gray "looks" very gray in the tin. Even when you apply it you may think "oh my gosh it is gray" but as it dries it does become quite blue. My horibble camera actually captured the true colour quite well.

And of course light plays a huge role with this colour, which you already know ;)

I'm so sorry about your beloved cups, the same thing happened to be, and I was heartbroken.
The painting looks fabulous! I love that look of the painted woodwork, and off-white walls, and you can never go wrong with Farrow and Ball can you? Pointing is a colour we use a lot.
Love vanessa xxx (do you mind if i knit)
