It's Christmastime

Quiet gingham corner

Christmas card display table with the branches that fell last week from the big old pine tree in the garden

Look who's hiding in those branches

Of course the paper chain

Vintage Christmas Balls

A wee pine tree growing where it should not have been, plucked into a teacup

Messy dresser, as always

The tree, who can get great pictures of their tree? Not me

Did the shopping. Did the wrapping. Did the decorating. Did the baking. Now doing the cleaning. How do we do it all? And I don't know about you but this is all pretty well done on my own. Hubby just kind of congratulates me on a job well done.
Thanks honey.

You're right there! Women do all the runnibg at Christmas, men just have to turn up and pour drinks! I know for a fcat that my hisband hasn't even bought me a present yet. (But I'm sure he will)

I think you captured a marvelous shot of your tree. Your home looks cozy, bright, and calm...perfect!

Oh I know that feeling. I feel like I am running around doing everything and everyone is messing things up as soon as they are sorted. LOL.

Yes! My hubby says 'what have WE got for so and so?' and I say 'what is this WE'...you mean.. I. Yes.. I.. have trudged round the shops for hours, joined endless queues, wrapped all the presents, dragged the Xmas tree home, untangled the lights, put up the deccies etc, etc. All he has to do is sign the cards! He does appreciate all the effort though.
Your tree and your house look really beautiful.

Looks so pretty! Time to rest and read & knit in your quiet gingham corner?
I still haven't baked a single thing and have just barely gotten all the gifts accumulated.
As for the DH's, mine did drive me to the outlet mall and buy me Mexican food for lunch yesterday, but when it came to the shopping, he waited in the car. But still, that's something, well, maybe even a lot, right ;-)?!
Merry Merry Christmas to you!

Every one of those splendid photos just evokes that very special atmosphere that arives at Christmastime.

And yes ... none of this arrives by magic!

Hoping that in the rest of the run up you will find hours to sit back with a cup/glass of something wonderful to reflect on what is so full of joy all around you.
