Recipe for Krispy Peanut Butter Squares

Using just five ingredients, you can become a hero today! Posted by Hello

Krispy Peanut Butter Squares (originally posted on the Rice Krispies box)

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter
7 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method:

In a large saucepan combine sugar and corn syrup. Over medium heat, stir until sugar dissolves or just comes to the boil. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. Mix well. Stir in cereal until well coated. Press (I rinse my wooden spoon several times during this process to prevent the sticky problem) firmly into buttered 9x13 pan. Spread with melted chocolate. Chill until firm.

PS I was thinking of you, Elizabeth, during this whole process, yet I am not sure why?

Now I have to wonder what you were thinking, linking me to that recipe...I'm nutty, but slightly sweet? Sweet but slightly nutty? I am a foodie? All true. And linking me to anything with chocolate chips cannot be wrong.
