Recipe for Krispy Peanut Butter Squares

Using just five ingredients, you can become a hero today!

Krispy Peanut Butter Squares (originally posted on the Rice Krispies box)

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter
7 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips


Method:

In a large saucepan combine sugar and corn syrup. Over medium heat, stir until sugar dissolves or just comes to the boil. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. Mix well. Stir in cereal until well coated. Press (I rinse my wooden spoon several times during this process to prevent the sticky problem) firmly into buttered 9x13 pan. Spread with melted chocolate. Chill until firm.
